H.M.S. Danger, II

©2007 John Dunaj

The original Danger was destroyed in the raid on Krag Barrovaar. Its replacement, also named Danger , was an improved version of the Dauntless design. The primary change in the Dauntless was the removal of the access tunnel leading from the bridge to the gun in the bow (see alternate bow design for more about this change). The savings in weight and improved accessibility to the bow gun led to other changes like the addition of another Hotchkiss gun, increased storage for ammunition and supplies, and a small increase in the crew complement. Overall, an already good class of aerial gunboat was made even better.
