One of the things that made the Olympia kit especially appealing as a base kit for this conversion is that it has a torpedo launching tube in it's ram bow, which makes it fit Wells' description of Thunder Child as a "torpedo ram" better than any actual Royal Navy ship I could find in Jane's.
